On 13th October 2025, Calpe Bowls Club were pleased to welcome back to their club, the Swiss Touring Team.
Members from four different bowls clubs in Switzerland, near Gstaad, get together to form the Swiss Touring Team and make their annual visit to Calpe.
The main purpose of their visit is to play bowls and 19 players were welcomed by Calpe Bowls Club to take part in a friendly match against it’s members.
Initially the skies were grey, with some rain but this cleared away to allow the game to take place.
Spirits were high and a competitive match unfolded, with the Swiss showing their skills and adapting to our bowling greens well. This year it was their turn to win!
We look forward to welcoming this touring team back to Calpe again, next year.
